Why LVM (in­sur­ance) uses Atomikos

LVM (a Ger­man in­sur­ance com­pa­ny) has the fol­low­ing sto­ry:

"For sev­er­al rea­sons (costs, open source , light­weight, bet­ter test­ing) we want­ed to switch from Web­sphere to Tom­cat. We are us­ing XA trans­ac­tions and there­fore we need a Trans­ac­tion Man­ag­er for Tom­cat.

We are an in­sur­ance com­pa­ny and there­fore the in­tegri­ty of our data is very im­por­tant. For that rea­son we need a safe so­lu­tion with good sup­port in case of prob­lems.

We start­ed with Atomikos: it's easy to use and our Ju­nit Test Suite for XA Tran­sa­tions runs with­out any er­rors. We rec­om­mend go­ing for Atomikos if you do not use all fea­tures of a ma­jor ap­pli­ca­tion serv­er like Web­sphere and are look­ing for a light­weight so­lu­tion for your XA Trans­ac­tions."
