Why LVM (insurance) uses Atomikos

LVM (a German insurance company) has the following story:

"For several reasons (costs, open source , lightweight, better testing) we wanted to switch from Websphere to Tomcat. We are using XA transactions and therefore we need a Transaction Manager for Tomcat.

We are an insurance company and therefore the integrity of our data is very important. For that reason we need a safe solution with good support in case of problems.

We started with Atomikos: it's easy to use and our Junit Test Suite for XA Transations runs without any errors. We recommend going for Atomikos if you do not use all features of a major application server like Websphere and are looking for a lightweight solution for your XA Transactions."
