So how does man­u­fac­tur­ing use Atomikos?

A world-wide con­tact lens­es man­u­fac­tur­er used Atomikos to track or­ders and at the same time dis­patch­ing the rel­e­vant job or­ders to var­i­ous labs across the world. Without Atomikos, job or­ders could be sent with­out the or­der be­ing stored. Cus­tomers would then resched­ule the or­der, lead­ing to new job or­ders be­ing sent out. As a re­sult, all jobs for the lost or­der would be per­formed twice, in ex­pen­sive labs with man­u­al labour in­volved. With Atomikos, this prob­lem was solved: if there is no or­der in the data­base, then no job or­der was dis­patched ei­ther. Those are the kind of guar­an­tees that Atomikos pro­vides.
