We've just released TransactionsEssentials 3.6.1, available from our website or from our maven repository.
This is a bug fix release, repairing some OSGi-specific problems with class loading across bundles. Thanks a lot to Pascal Leclercq for the feedback while testing this! Also many thanks to Peter Kriens for the advice on class loading. http://www.atomikos.com/Main/TransactionsEssentialsRegards
We've had many people participate in this through our forums and through email, and finally it's ready to go out in public: you can now load our jars as bundles in OSGi (this has been tested with Apache Felix and Eclipse Equinox).
To download, proceed via our product page.Happy bundling!
Known issues at this time are:
-interop with MS or other vendors is still to be tested -performance improvements in the web service calls needs to be improved -compatibility with different JAX-WS stacks is still to be tested
Both are maintenance releases with bug fixes.
Registered downloaders can download directly from our maven repository…
There are a number of reasons for doing this, but the most important one is that we want to avoid cumbersome discussions about whether a support question is actually one, two or more tickets: every time this has happened in the past, our customers were unhappy because they needed to go back to their management and ask for a budget one more time. Our new formula represents a compromise that should cover most scenarios with just one purchase.
The new formula should be online soon.
