The JPA demo de­pends on ex­e­cut­ing SQL out­side a JTA trans­ac­tion for set­up and tear­down. This re­quired lo­calTrans­ac­tionMode en­abled to work clean­ly.

178075: Bug in Trans­ac­tionSer­viceImp: sub­trans­ac­tion over­writes par­ent in root map

The new re­mot­ing sup­port re­quires sub trans­ac­tions and the open source edi­tion had a bug (fixed in the com­mer­cial dis­tri­b­u­tion a long time ago) that caused prob­lems. This has now been fixed.
